Calvin Lamothe

Associate Director of Design

"Tariq is an absolute joy to work with. He has grown immensely over the past 2+ years, showing both adaptability in the face of new and changing business needs as well as an intrinsic hunger to learn something new every day. His commitment to craft and to design systems has driven several improvements in our processes, and he is always the first to dive into exploring a new feature or product to see how it might benefit the team.

There is no challenge I've seen him turn down, and he will iterate until he finds a great solution, whether the ask is complex UI, branding and design systems, or paid social ads.

Last but not least, Tariq brings a warmth, great sense of humor, and vulnerability to his work that has contributed immensely to our collaborative and supportive team culture."

VP of Creative and Design

"Tariq brings an engine of raw enthusiasm to the team. He takes immense pride in his work and loves self-driven learning. We quickly identified him as the team's resident "tool scientist" as he naturally discovered the ins & outs of platforms like Framer, OBS, and obscure Figma features, educating the entire design team on the latest techniques.

Tariq's innate charisma, taste, and dedication to exploration make him an invaluable asset to any design team – these are very hard skills to teach, and he hasn't stopped getting better."

Shaped by the age of connection

Shaped by the age of connection

It was during the birth of the Web 2.0 era that my family immigrated to the United States. As a young immigrant in a new world, I was fascinated with how digital spaces began to shape the way people connected, shared, and expressed themselves.

These spaces acted as bridges that helped me connect to family that was across oceans, and with new friends across the street. Now, I’m devoted to crafting spaces that give others the same sense of belonging, freedom, and connection that those early spaces offered me when I needed them most.
