My name is Tariq Sokkarie. I’m a multidisciplinary designer living in the too-sunny sunshine state of Florida, proudly representing the warm spirit of Lebanon where my family emigrated from.
With a notable proficiency in visual and user-centered design, I enjoy using my creative passion in a meaningful manner to solve real problems in diverse teams that really care about their craft. I've come to appreciate that design's impact stems from its intent, not merely its decorative elements. I love solving problems in new ways, and I love learning about how others do it as well.
I’ve also found that one of the most fulfilling aspects of my career is the joy I find in mentoring and teaching others about design tools and techniques. Sharing my knowledge not only empowers other designers to grow and excel but also reinforces my own understanding and mastery of the subject matter. It inspires me to push the boundaries of my own creativity and problem-solving abilities.
Aside from design, photography has been a big part of my life for many years now. The art of capturing fleeting moments has instilled in me a deep appreciation for authenticity and the power of visual storytelling. My work mostly consists of nature, portrait, wedding, and street photography.
Outside of designing and shooting, I enjoy staying up-to-date on the latest tech and gaming trends, attending local UX meetups, and making home office setup content.
